The Precious Heart! – More Blessed To Give Than To Receive!

A wise woman, who was traveling in the mountains, found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him. She did so without hesitation. The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But, a few days later, he came back to return the stone to the wise woman. “I’ve been thinking,” he said. “I know how valuable this stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious. Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me this stone.” And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Do everything with a good heart and expect nothing in return

Dont forget the people who helped you
Dont forget the people who helped you

It’s important to remember that “God prospers us not to raise our standard of living, but our standard of giving”. Isn’t it a blessing to know that you’ve helped out someone in need? Doesn’t it make you feel good? I think it feels a lot better to give to help someone else than when someone gives to us, even though that’s great too. It’s always rewarding when you help feed a homeless person or someone in poverty who can barely feed themselves. I think it’s rewarding to go on a trip to a third world country and just help those in need and pour into their lives. We need to have an attitude of a servant.
